Tony Waskosky – Facility Manager
I have lived in Sandpoint for seven years and plan to retire here. I enjoy this community for the outdoors, riding my Harley, and weightlifting. I have worked at Alpine Vista for less than a year but felt a sense of family from day one. The staff cares about the residents’ well-being, like their parents or family. I like working here for the residents, helping them stay active and independent while sharing their history and experience. Alpine Vista gives the residents a place to call home while enjoying our amenities, plus socializing with other residents, staff, and family without worrying about day-to-day tasks.
Kathleen Shaw – Office manager
I have lived in Sandpoint for almost ten years. My daughter loves it so much that she talked the whole family into moving here. I am not a huge fan of the winters, but living by the lake and enjoying the rest of the seasons is well worth it. I have been working at Alpine Vista Senior Apartments for the last seven years. I have worked in housekeeping and every position to Office manager. I like the atmosphere here at Alpine Vista. The residents are unique individuals filled with stories and childhood memories. I’m always learning something new about them and look forward to the daily interaction. Our amenities offer residents a secure and worry-free environment to relax and enjoy life. Living here allows them to spend more time with family, enjoy activities, and have new and exciting experiences in one place.
Lisa Alford – Dietary Manager
I have lived in the Sandpoint community for over 49 years and have worked at Alpine Vista Senior Apartments for the last 13 years. I like working here because I get to see and be around some of the best people who helped influence me growing up. My second-grade teacher, Mrs. Alt, and my first-grade teacher, Mrs. Loman, have lived or still live here. They are the best teachers I have ever had. It means different things to each resident, but living here should feel like home.
Brittany Sateren – Activities
My family moved to Sandpoint in the late spring of 2022. A friend referred me to Alpine Vista because of her father’s positive experience here as a resident. I find my job to be meaningful and fulfilling. My caring for the seniors here has grown immensely in my short time here. I like being of service and thoroughly enjoy planning fun and engaging activities for the residents. Alpine Vista is a clean and safe place to live with like-minded individuals—an enriching quality facility for seniors with enjoyable events for residents and families.
